Same Old Story

For interim coach Raheem Morris to find success before the end of the 2020 season with a group that has this much talent, the first thing he needs to do is find a way to break Atlanta’s inability to finish.
The Falcons were down 16-14 at the end of the fourth quarter. RB Todd Gurley ll ran the ball down the field with 2:00 left in the game.
Now, I'm sure the plan here was to stop short of the goal line, take a couple of knees, and nail the short field goal to win it. Simple right?
As shown in the picture above, that is not how it turned out. Gurley couldn't stop himself from breaking the plane of the goal line and gave the Falcons a score with 64 seconds left in the game.
Atlanta converted a 2-point attempt, making the score 22-16.
Lions' QB Matthew Stafford drove his team 75 yards down the field with no timeouts and scored the go ahead touchdown on the final play of the game. They kicked the extra point and went back to Detroit with a 23-22 victory.
The Falcons just can't seem to get it together. They can't score when they need to, and score when they aren't supposed to. It's the same old story for the team this season.
